Hola!
I am here (in Austria) suffering a lot ... my condition is terrible. I don't know why.
I haven't raced since California but I should be much, much better. Maybe the allergies, bad condition, bronchitis just 1 week ago, and Noah doesn't sleep much during the night. Everything together, BOOM!
But today I felt better (I passed from been very bad to just bad, it's
something!). Anyway, I do my best like always and wishing to finish this race
to see if I get better for San Sebastian.
I saw Veronika (@V_lancelover) today and 2 or 3 days ago. She is fantastic, she comes by train
for more that 2 hours and she walks maybe other 2 hours to watch the race. That's nice!
I hope you are well and enjoying the TDF. Sometimes I wish to be there. When I see the crashes and the terrible condition I have
now, I say THANK GOD!
Cuidate mucho.

Hola,
I have been so busy ... on Sunday, I organised a race for juniors on Cotobello and it was really nice, not many guys did it, just 30. It was time trial, and some of them (who are not good climbers) didn't want to even try. It was a lot of work that day and the week before, but nice.
Now I am training pretty well, trying to get some condition before Austria.
I don't know my new program yet, but I heard that we have many races, so it is
not the end of the world ... I don't go where I am not invited.
I am pretty well with the allergies this year, I don't know why, but some days I still have big problems. I have to use the medication every day and to be allowed to use it, I had to do many tests and send them to the UCI. But I can guarantee you that if you don't need it and you use it, nothing changes. You are not going to win the TDF for using Ventolin if you are not asthmatic.
And Noah is really well, thanks!!! We don't know what is to sleep 7 hours a day any more but really happy. He smiles often but cries also often, so I don't know what is going on in his head ... I am wishing to ride with him!!
Say hello to everyone there. Take care.

How are you recovering from the crash in California?
I am much better from the crashes but not training much since then, what with the recovery from the crash (almost 2 weeks) and the trip to USA. And the weather has been terrible here, so not much training again.
How long does it take for your legs to recover from a stage race? Is it harder now than when you were younger?
No more than 2 days if my condition is good, but normally within 24 hours. You have to be ready even if you are too tired!! And now maybe it is not as fast as it used to be but my endurance is pretty good anyway (although not so explosive anymore on the attacks or rhythm changes).
In hot weather, how much liquid would you take with you on a normal training ride? What about snacks?
We leave home with 2 bottles and we stop to buy some an Aquarius or something like that. And we fill up the bottles in the fountains a few times (it could be 6 bottles on a hot ride). We like to buy some cakes in the local baker whilst training, it's better than any manufactured bars. I take those on races.
What about the Vuelta?
We are not good enough for them! Did they watch Pais Vasco or the Dauphine, two of the best races of the season? They don't care to have Klöden, Horner, Zubeldia, Brajkovich, Levi at the start.
Imagine that the Spanish soccer league doesn't want Valencia or Madrid playing and invites Ponferradina de Leon? We are the only sport that is destroying itself.
